The Isola Scarlatta and Sea Jewel are two Oil product Cargo tankers in service in South American waters. A complete gauging and monitoring package has been supplied for the 17 pressurised cargo tanks, and installed during recent refit periods.
Each tank is fitted with a RINA approved Series 260 for hydrostatic level, and a similar compound ranged transmitter measuring tank overpressure / vacuum. As the cargo may be hazardous all transmitter signals are routed via zener barriers to fulfill I.S. requirements.
A central Multi-Minder unit accepts all level and pressure signals and computes the actual tank volume from these.
